We finally made it on a long distance flight again, after a long pause due to corona pandemic and visited Thailand last week. Our first stop was Bangkok, where we had the great pleasure to stay at CAPELLA Bangkok Hotel ... the "little matchbox" (that's how insider lovingly call the building) next to the huge Four Seasons Residential Tower & Hotel right at Chao Phraya River ... an oasis of tranquility in a dizzying city.
Guests are warmly welcomed in the Living Room, which immediately creates a sense of exclusivity & intimacy ... A reception located directly in the entrance was deliberately omitted to avoid a tiring queue for guests while checking in.
To my great delight, we moved into a Riverfront Premier Room on the 9th floor with our own small balcony and spectacular views of the river life, which I enjoyed so so much ... equipped with its own fan and atmospheric light, I spent quite a time outside just looking at boats passing by ... even fireworks one night and a huge wedding in the beautiful Capella garden "at my feet".

To avoid disappointing and annoying tourist attractions, I would highly recommend Capella Culturist. Already before arrival I had exchanged my wishes & interests with the team and coordinated schedules.

... and found a most heartwarming handwritten card from housekeeping before going to bed at night ...
Thank you dear Capella team for this wonderful stay ... YOU made us completely forget our jetlag. We experienced the highest level of hospitality at all times and are already looking forward to visiting again ...
